The following principal certificates are employed in the system.
Alias passport – This is the most basic passport issued to any new WebMoney user upon registration after the assignment of a WM-ID. With this passport you can make transactions within the system, add funds to your purses through WM-cards, exchange banks and operate through the system dealers..
The Formal passport is issued to a WebMoney Transfer user upon acceptance of his/her personal data entered at the verification center website. This data is not verified by notaries or the center’s legal department. Possessing such a passport does not authorize a user to offer any Registrar services.
Personal passport – In addition to the above, this allows you to perform credit activities in the system and to organize an automated reception of Webmoney on your website. It makes it easier for you to restore access to your WM-ID. With a personal passport you can also issue initial passports to other users.
Initial passport (or a passport of confidence) – a simplified version of a personal passport.
Primarily, the Initial and Personal passports, as well as their modifications, are there to prevent your system anonymity.
Either passport in your profile is an indication to another user that there is a real physical or legal entity behind the user ID, with passport information known by the verification center. User’s details can only be released by request of law enforcement agencies.
You can find more information at the website of the Verification Center.
